Occasionally, a blatant error will be made during the play of a hand. The Undo allows the auction or the play of the hand to be rewound in these situations.
Obviously, the use of undos represents a significant deviation from the way in which bridge is ordinarily played. While some players are fairly lenient in their attitude towards Undos, others are quite strict. The rule on OKbridge is that the server of the table is allowed to set the policy regarding the use of Undos at the table. Although it can be frustrating to live with the results of an inadvertent mistake, you should always respect the policy of the server.
If your Server allows Undos — when it is your turn, you are allowed to request an undo of:
Your own erroneous bid or play.
Your right hand opponent's (RHO) erroneous bid or play.
Immediately notify the others at the table by clicking the Undo button on the Toolbar to request an undo of the last bid or play made. This automatically sends a request for an undo to the other three players. This should occur preferably within 5 seconds of the mistake.
Who can grant the Undo request:
For your own erroneous bid or play,
your LHO grants your Undo request.
For your RHO's erroneous bid or play,
your RHO grants your Undo request.
The Undo is granted in the same manner it is requested, by clicking Undo button on the toolbar.
The final pass in an auction cannot be undone, because the declarer and dummy get to see each other's hands at this point.
The opening lead also cannot be undone, because it automatically reveals dummy's hand.
